Terms and Conditions of Using the DOUM Scrap and Junk Selling Platform
Important Notice: This document is prepared with the aim of protecting the owner of the DOUM platform from any legal or financial obligations or consequences, and clarifying that the platform's role is limited to being a technical intermediary that does not interfere in the details of buying or selling operations, and does not bear any direct or indirect responsibility for the activities of users on the platform.
First: General Definitions
The DOUM platform: is an electronic platform owned by the DOUM Recycling Trading Establishment, headquartered in Riyadh. It aims to facilitate publishing and advertising processes related to the sale, purchase, and exchange of scrap and junk.
The Owner: is the owner of the DOUM Recycling Trading Establishment (The First Party), and it is not responsible for any actions or transactions that occur between users on the Platform.
The User: is any natural or legal person (seller, buyer, or visitor) (The Second Party) who uses the Platform for the purpose of browsing, advertising, or conducting a commercial transaction. The User is considered The Second Party to this agreement.
Second: Scope of Responsibility
The Platform acts as an electronic intermediary only, and does not act as a party to any agreement or contract concluded between users.
The Platform or its owner does not bear any legal or financial responsibility resulting from the published advertisements, transactions between users, or the quality, legality, or authenticity of the products.
It is the User's sole responsibility to verify other parties, examine goods, and ensure the validity of the transaction.
The Platform does not interfere in collection, payment, shipping, or arbitration between the parties, and does not provide any guarantees.
Third: User Obligations
The User acknowledges that all its data is correct and up-to-date, and bears responsibility for the content of its advertisements and transactions.
The User conforms to complying with all laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including e-commerce and cybercrime regulations.
The User undertakes that the displayed goods are its property or that it is authorized to sell them, and that they do not violate the system or infringe upon the rights of others.
The User shall not display scrap that is obtained illegally, owned by government agencies, or of unknown origin.
Fourth: Disclaimer
The DOUM Recycling Trading Establishment shall bear no responsibility for:
Any stolen, imitation, or counterfeit goods
Disputes, fraud, or losses that any party may incur as a result of using the platform
Data or content posted by users
The Platform does not act as a party to any commercial transaction, and any disputes shall be resolved between the parties concerned or through the competent authorities.
The Platform does not guarantee the continuity of the service or its freedom from faults, and shall bear no responsibility for the interruption or suspension of the service for any reason.
Fifth: Platform Procedures in the Event of Violations
The platform reserves the right to delete, modify, or suspend any violating account or advertisement without prior notice.
The Platform has the right to fully cooperate with the competent authorities and provide any data officially requested.
The Establishment has the right to take legal actions against anyone who misuses the Platform, including infringement of property rights, hacking, defamation, or abuse of the Platform or its administrators.
Sixth: Privacy and Data Protection
The User acknowledges that the Platform has the right to store and process its personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
The User undertakes not to exploit, collect, or use others' data without permission.
Seventh: Applicable Laws and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions and all transactions on the Platform are subject to the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In the event of any dispute, its resolution shall fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Kingdom.
Eighth: Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
The Platform reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, and the User's continued use of the Platform constitutes explicit acceptance of the modifications.
The User shall review the Terms and Conditions frequently.
Ninth: Acceptance and Commitment
By using the DOUM platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and fully agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree to any clause herein mentioned, you shall immediately stop using the Platform.
Final Note:
The owner of the DOUM platform is not responsible for any financial, legal, or regulatory transactions that occur outside the Platform or result from the use of the Platform. Its role is limited to managing and operating the Platform as an electronic technology only, without any obligation or involvement in the commercial activities conducted between the parties.
